Coast Capital’s overarching design theme, Haven, guided the creative direction. Haven reimagines the feeling of “home” as a state of comfort, stability, and connection, an atmosphere where members feel at ease the moment they walk in.

Aura Office’s design team built upon this concept to further enhance the user experience. The team enhanced the sense of lightness through high ceilings and bright finishes, introduced biophilic elements to create a calming environment, and strategically used wallpaper accents and warm materials to elevate visual interest. Durable, sustainable finishes were selected to withstand high‑traffic use, and preserved plant installations provided the benefits of greenery with minimal maintenance.

The strategy was rooted in creating a space that feels safe, approachable, and uplifting, while still supporting the operational needs of a busy financial branch.

Aura delivered a fully optimized branch layout that meets all functional and experiential requirements. Key features include:

Accessible Teller Stations

The branch features two height‑adjustable teller stations designed to ensure accessibility for both employees and members. Their placement supports smooth service flow while maintaining appropriate levels of privacy.

Private Offices

Five private offices were incorporated to accommodate confidential financial conversations and advisory services. Each office was designed with acoustic performance in mind and finished with materials that align seamlessly with the client’s brand.

Client Lounge

A warm, comfortable client lounge offers members a place to relax, complete with a coffee and water station. Strategically positioned, the lounge is easily accessible to clients while remaining discreet from street view.

Staff Lunchroom

To support employees’ wellbeing, a dedicated staff lunchroom provides a quiet, restorative space for breaks. This area reinforces Coast Capital’s commitment to creating a positive workplace experience for its team.

Three Washrooms

The branch includes three washrooms, one of which is fully accessible and integrated into the multi‑function office suite. Aura carefully coordinated all plumbing and electrical requirements within the compact footprint to ensure seamless functionality without compromising design.

Flexible Office / Phone Room

A small, adaptable office space was added to support private phone calls, focused work, or overflow needs. This flexible room enhances operational agility and ensures staff and clients have access to quiet, distraction‑free space when required. It also functions as a hoteling office space for visiting team members from other branches.

Multi‑Function Office Suite

A standout element of the branch, the multi‑function office suite was designed to support Coast Capital’s wealth management team while offering versatility for broader use across the branch. The suite includes its own dedicated exterior entrance, an accessible washroom, and a kitchenette, allowing it to operate independently when needed. Interior access to the main branch allows branch staff to use the space, maximizing operational efficiency and supporting multiple service models within a compact footprint.

ATM Integration

Aura closed off an existing entrance to create a secure, functional ATM station which seamlessly integrates into the branch layout.

The Austin Heights branch highlights how effective design‑build can elevate a financial institution’s delivery service. Aura optimized the space to create a bright, intuitive, and fully functional branch that reflects Coast Capital’s brand and supports a range of end-user needs.
