The design strategy centered on creating a workplace that is both timeless and inviting, balancing professional sophistication with approachable warmth. Drawing inspiration from Vancouver’s natural beauty and the vibrant West Coast lifestyle, the design blends clean modern lines with natural materials. Furthermore, the color palette contrasts warm tones with cooler hues reminiscent of water and sand, creating a harmonious balance, just as the sea meets the sand. The result is a space that feels bright, welcoming, and energized.

Strategically, the layout was designed to support both everyday collaboration and larger gatherings. The lunch area, positioned adjacent to reception and opening onto the boardroom, creates a flexible hub for events, town halls, and team moments. While the building’s existing infrastructure informed certain elements, Aura’s team skillfully worked within these parameters to deliver a cohesive, functional, and design-forward environment.

Reception Area
The reception area sets the tone for the workplace, featuring a semi-open layout that strikes a balance between approachability and professionalism. A double-sided banquette with a feature wall creates a visual connection to the building’s exterior design while providing privacy for the lunchroom behind it. Positioned near the boardroom, the reception also supports smooth circulation during events and gatherings.

Boardroom
Designed to support both formal meetings and larger events, the boardroom includes two entrance points for easy circulation. Custom feature millwork with integrated greenery adds warmth and functionality, serving as a catering station or bar setup during events or large meetings.

Staff Lunchroom
The lunchroom fosters connection and flexibility, offering versatile seating that accommodates staff gatherings of any size. The space fosters a communal atmosphere, while the feature wall provides a subtle division from the reception area, allowing team members to relax and enjoy their breaks comfortably, even as clients enter the space.

Meeting Rooms
Leede’s meeting rooms offer a mix of styles to suit different needs. One room maintains a traditional layout for focused discussions, while the other adopts a lounge-style design, creating a more relaxed environment for informal meetings or brainstorming sessions.

Workstations
Workstations strike a balance between privacy and openness, featuring higher partitions finished in glass. This design allows natural light to flow throughout the space, maintaining a bright and airy atmosphere while supporting focused, individual work.

Through a carefully tailored design-build process, Aura delivered a workplace that fully aligned with Leede Financials’ needs and vision. By combining strategic planning, thoughtful design, and meticulous project management with construction, the team ensured cost and budget certainty. The new office features flexible communal areas, and thoughtfully designed workspaces have strengthened collaboration, enhanced team interaction, and created an environment that reflects Leede’s professional, energetic culture.
