Aura was tasked to expand one of Harper Grey’s existing Vancouver office spaces based on our direct experience designing law firms’ offices.
We led several ‘hack-a-thons’ during the early design phases to solve critical design questions and test ideas as a group. This process involved asking the entire Harper Grey staff for their input and feedback, not just the lawyers, resulting in buy-in from all staff. This collective, concentrated effort resulted in solving complex design challenges and uncovering solutions that support how the firm will use the space in the future with new ways of working and evolving technology.
The new office uses similar finishes to the firm’s other offices in the same building, including birdseye maple. Aura also specified the furniture, which included flexible furniture options. Flexibility is key to the overall design; layouts allow rooms to be easily converted to ergonomic and high-functioning meeting rooms. The design of the new office will enable the practice to continue to evolve and innovative over time.
